Many of you ask about the price of Amtrak tickets to Chicago, Naperville and LaGrange. Why are prices different every day or each train. It's pretty simple: Prices are based on availability. Imagine there are 100 seats on the train. the fare is based on how many seats are sold. the first 25 seats sell for the lowest price, the next 25 for a slightly higher fare, the next 25 for a higher fare and the last 25 for the highest fare....so...get your tickets early!
There are discounts available for students, college and high school. It is a student advantage card. There are also discounts for AAA, Seniors (over 62), children (under 15), military, and State employees (ONLY traveling on state business).
